Conscientious Objector

What is the military going to do with men like Kevin Benderman who, having been to Iraq, are convinced that the war is immoral and that it's worth risking a jail term to say "no" to a direct command?

If you'd like to thank Representative Cynthia McKinney, who intervened on Benderman's behalf, here is the contact info:

Does the name John O'Neill ring a bell? Nixon sicked him on Kerry and you can bet the current regime will put a hound on Benderman in order to completely destroy him and ruin his "moral standing." No one wants to hear our troops saying "bad things." No - we are just supposed to drive around town with yellow ribbon magnets on our cars and dutifully support our troops. I'm so sorry these young men are being deployed, and I'm so sick over the stop orders, but I can't find fault in a man who comes back and says, "look, this is just wrong. I can't do it."
